VidSummit 2015 . . . where do I start?
It was a HUGE success!
The three-day conference was jam-packed with pure gold content: from presenters to keynotes to attendees and everyone and everything in between, it was just inspiring, and I feel so humbled to have been a part of it.
VidSummit 2014 was a great beginner year and we learned a lot from it, and 2015 seemed to really step up and show that it was a conference not to be missed by anyone in the video industry. Of course, what made it so great was the people: phenomenal presenters and phenomenal attendees. The interaction between the two groups was unmatched by any conference I’ve ever been to.
I was extremely impressed by our presenters this year. They were transparent and informative and provided real-life strategies and applications for attendees, who may not have even realized what their business was lacking until coming to the conference.
I was actually shocked at the extent to which the presenters shared their strategies and secrets with the attendees. These people are among the best in the business, and they so willingly shared their knowledge and skills with others seeking tools of the trade. It was truly amazing to see success secrets being passed around so generously throughout the conference. It was like candy being thrown at a parade.
So what exactly do they share that’s so great?
I’ve been to other video conferences, and they’re generally focused on a creator-to-fan connection, which is great, but VidSummit is the first in its class to offer content that gets to the nitty-gritty of video marketing. VidSummit presenters share very specific information about optimization, monetization, branding, and every other aspect of successful businesses, brands, and channels. Once word gets out, I think VidSummit will easily become the “It” video conference because what we have to offer is so unique and applicable.
The greatest challenge, as we move forward to future summits, will be keeping the intimacy of a small group while growing in scale. We have some ideas rolling with how to do this, and I think it’s going to work out great and be very well received. People will be able to be a part of the larger group but also have opportunities to interact with presenters in that intimate environment. The key to VidSummit’s success is in the quality of its presenters who connect with the attendees and share with passion. People really respond to that.
