Marketers have known since the beginning of time that you have to gain the attention of consumers to make a profit from the sale of your merchandise. Every business owner knows how important it is to advertise‒ especially making it challenging for the competition with sales and discounts if they wish to get consumers interested in their products and services over their competitions.

But times have changed over the last few decades on how consumers find what they are willing to pay for. It takes more than just posting a full page ad in the newspaper or having a 30 second commercial on television to make a sale these days. The reason for this is simple… the Internet.

The Internet has opened up a wide range of possibilities on such an enormous scale that it is hard to even explain it. Consumers are constantly running against the clock, and so the easier it is to find their information, the better. If you haven’t noticed, everything has quickly evolved to digital media, hand-held devices, being plugged in, and the Internet. Life has evolved, and YouTube knows that consumers are passionate about this new commerce. People are empowered by technology and mobile devices are the place to be these days.

So where is the best place to increase sales revenue? On social media. The answer is complexing to some, but still there is no real answer as to why this is. And if there was a magic formula for everyone to follow, it would be to be persistent on all social media platforms.

Social media is everywhere. There are 1 billion active users on YouTube each month with 4 billion videos viewed on YouTube per day… and 1 billion of those are on a mobile device. That is an insurmountable number especially if you want to your business to be recognized. But that doesn’t include Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, etc., and the list goes on and on.

People are engaged. They are motivated and interested in the advantages of technology. It is power to be able to communicate anywhere in the world at any time, and it has become a passion for people to stay engaged in their online community.

When it comes to increasing revenue, using social media to spread the word is the place to focus on. The Internet is full of possibilities, and spreading your brand across multiple platforms on social media is a cost effective method for increasing ones sales growth.
