In previous videos I have discussed many options on how to make money on YouTube, and discussed in detail that getting sponsors it is one of the most effective ways of doing it. I know a lot of are saying that your channel isn’t big enough yet, or that you can’t attract the right sponsors to your channel. Well, that is all about to change especially after you hear how my friend grew her YouTube channel when she added sponsorships to it.

Now, please remember that I actually have a series of videos that discusses and explains a lot about sponsorship‒ along with a free service called FameBit. This great sponsorship company called FameBit was created to enable quality brands and influential YouTuber’s to integrate products and sponsors.

After looking through my subscribers, I found a great candidate for this and walked her through the application process for FameBit. I worked with this subscriber of mine and decided to have a results video to show all of you how simple and easy this process really is.

Patti Bailey has a beauty and lifestyle YouTube channel. She is really growing her channel and becoming a big hit with her audience. She is great at vlogging and loves to show people how fun it can be to learn beauty tips along with interesting decorating ideas to better your lifestyle. Patti has grown her channel to 12,000 subscribers in only two years.

I subscribe to Patti’s channel and have talked with her before about ways she could drive traffic and grow her channel. That is why I thought seriously about what more could be done to make her channel grow exponentially, and ultimately knew that FameBit would be Patti’s next best step.

We went through the application process, submitted a handful of applications with different sponsors with FameBit, and Patti was able to get some really great sponsorship deals. Some of the things that happened with Patti is what I want to talk about, so you can get a clearer idea of what to expect when you submit your own applications for sponsorship through FameBit.

First, Patti looked through the sponsors and picked the ones she thought would be a perfect match for her beauty and lifestyles channel. Most of her proposals were answered with forty-eight hours and others took up to two weeks before she heard back from them. She was very surprised by her first callers and grew excited.

One of the beauty line sponsors she picked as a sponsor was a brand that dealt with mineral makeup. They contacted her and offered her a skincare line instead which was actually a better match for her channel. After negotiating her fee, Patti was excited for her first real sponsor for her YouTube channel.

One of the questions I had for Patti was whether or not she was going to make more money with her new sponsorship or with AdSense. She said the sponsorship was a huge increase in revenue and changed her perspective about getting more sponsors for her channel.

An interesting note was when Patti said that her biggest surprise was finding out that there were so many different brands interested in her YouTube channel even though her beauty and lifestyle channel relates to older women. She has a great niche and brands and sponsors are willing to supplement her channel with the things that helps increase her exposure and grow her community. With sponsorships, I helped Patti realize that there is always someone somewhere willing to do promotion, and with FameBit, she was able to find the exact sponsors that fit perfectly with her channel.

The second thing we talked about is what Patti has learned from all of this. She expressed that one of the biggest thing she learned was that she followed the three steps for submitting her application for sponsorship. Patti also said that she found out that you don’t get every sponsor you send a proposal to, and during this process the brands and sponsors started to search her out. She even had a brand that agreed to sponsor her channel, but then rejected the offer before it was even funded. She contacted FameBit and they helped her understand all of the details for this. And Patti also changed her mind about a sponsor, telling them that she had decided to not use them as a sponsor on her channel after all.

Throughout this process, this also led Patti to finding out that one of the fastest ways to get funded by your sponsors is to have PayPal. Having PayPal compared to sending checks in the mail is so much faster and the process is literally completed overnight.

I told Patti that if she is really serious about sponsorship and getting it done right, focus in on what she is trying to accomplish on YouTube, and make great videos that will attract her audience. Then, by using great services like FameBit, she will find the best sponsors for her channel.

There is a large variety of sponsors and products growing on FameBit every week. They are always looking for YouTube channels to help them get their products out there as well as a way to give them more exposure. So, don’t be afraid to get out there and submit your applications that will fit with your audience. It’s more than just creating videos to grow your channel. It’s all about bringing back benefits through products for your viewer, and this is where you can make more money through sponsorship.
