Over time, there may be some things that change in the way your branding looks‒ which might also affect its consistency with your target audience. Now with YouTube’s new feature they call the 3-Second Trailers, a new tool made especially for video intros, there is a way around any discrepancy that your brand or channel might be experiencing.
YouTube’s 3-Second Trailers are a new feature that will allow all content creators the ability to use this tool with every video that has ever been made along with what you are still producing. But most importantly, this is such a great feature to add to any YouTube video library since it gives the content creator ways to control their brands across multiple channels.
Now, all channel owners can add using 3-Second trailers/intros for brands to their videos. This is basically a 3-second clip or intro that plays automatically before every video to catch the eye of the beholder. But some rules do apply since YouTube will not allow you to use it for advertising purposes, and has banned it specifically for this type of use.
It’s simple to use. All you have to do is upload a short intro from your video, mark it Unlisted, and then click Add a Branding Intro on the InVideo Programming page when you select your video. This should make it easier to get all of your content branded consistently across your channel since intros have proven to increase the time that viewers engage.
But now the work really begins as you have to decide what your audience wants to see. There have been several suggestions to make your strategies really shine when you place a 3-second intro in front of your YouTube video. Some are:
- Make it Eye-catching
- Capture their Interest
- Tell a Great Story (remember… you only have 3 seconds!)
Remember, this 3-second trailer/intro is at the beginning of your video that will draw-in and capture your audience as they are watching. Again, it is easy to implement on all your existing videos as well as your new ones. And remember, your video should only be long enough to entertain or inform your audience. It’s all about getting to the point which makes it worth watching.
