This is a wake-up call to all businesses out there… large or small… that video marketing has arrived, and now is the time to take video and YouTube seriously.

YouTube is the #2 search engine in the world.  There are over 152 million users in the U.S.  and 1 billion global users that watch over 4 billion videos a day.  And guess what?  It is predicted that by 2016 that video ad spending will exceed 9 billion dollars.  Isn’t this reason enough to create the best video content ever and upload it to a website that is already a powerful marketing tool for businesses?

Video is really the next best thing to talking to someone face to face, and what video can do for your business is to share your vision and expertise by promoting your brand.  It’s also a great way to educate the public about your business, and it is also one of the best ways to stand out among all of the competition that is competing against you.

The truth is that people love to watch video.  Video can share a message in 30 seconds that would take a person 5 minutes to read if it was written in an article.  It’s a great way to demonstrate exactly what you are trying to show your prospective customers as well as show them that you are human by adding a little personalized touch as well.

A lot of you may think that creating a professional looking video is too expensive.  Well, it’s less expensive than you may realize.  Sure, you can create something extravagant by hiring professionals, but there are also great looking video made with an iPhone.  Basically, all you need is a good story, a way to edit your video, and a basic understanding how to make your content more findable.  This entails components like:

  • Strong Title and Tag Optimization
  • Great Keywords
  • Video Transcript
  • Description Optimization

Aside from everything else, viewers will take notice when they see great content.  And then it’s your turn to reach out to your viewers, get upfront and personal, by getting some video responses back from your audience.  Remember, it’s all about shares and likes!  As you get familiar with these video marketing properties, all your hard work and effort will surely pay off.
