How To Properly Upload Videos To YouTube

I had a request for a tutorial on how to properly upload videos to YouTube, and even though you may have uploaded tons of videos before you need to ask yourself this question: Are you doing it right?

Everyone wants to upload their videos and have them viewed by the millions of YouTuber’s out there. Are your videos actually being found and watched? If not, this tutorial is for you. I will show you how to properly upload a video to YouTube and I will show you what YouTube deems as important.

1. After signing into YouTube, the first step you take is to click on the Upload Button and drop your files to start the upload.
2. This is where you add in all your information for the Title. Here, you will need to do some research to see what people are actually searching for. It is vital to have your video found in all searches.
3. Outside of the title, the next 2 sentences of your Description are the most important thing to have done right. Spend some quality time on this.
4. With Tags, always use the same category to keep your channel an authority in your specific category.
5. You can also add your videos to a Playlist, select good Thumbnails, and double check your work before changing your privacy setting back to public.
6. Click Save.

Once the upload is completed you will receive an email to notify you that your video is done processing, and your subscribers will automatically be notified unless you select the tab to un-do this feature.

You may be wondering how long it might take to properly upload videos to YouTube. Well, it really all depends on how big your video file size is and how fast your Internet connection is. But I promise you that if you take these extra steps when uploading your YouTube video, you will love the results!
