So you are probably like me and have subscribed to a lot of different YouTube channels. From musicians to comedy to education, it really clutters up your feed, right? Well, now YouTube has made it really easy to organize your subscriptions into different groups, or what they call “Collections”. To make a very powerful video feed, let’s take a look.
Now, there are a lot of great YouTube channels out there and there are a lot of channels that are similar. And, when you are looking for similar information, you don’t want to have to go through your subscription feed and try to figure out what videos are relevant and what is new. YouTube has made it really easy to manage your subscribers with all your subscriptions that are attached to your channel.
To do that, you need to first login to YouTube, mouse down on the left-hand side, below your subscriptions, and click on Manage Subscriptions. What this is going to do is pull in all your different subscriptions that are attached to your YouTube channel. Then click on the Create New Collection button. That will create a collection, of similar channels‒ or channels that you want to put in a specific collection.
Go ahead and name the collection. Then scroll down and click Add on different channels you wish to add to your collection. Or you could use the filter on the top right and type in your key term or the name of the channel, and then go ahead and hit Add on the channels you would like to include, then hit Save.
Now, under subscriptions you can see an icon and the collections name. If you click on it you will see your brand new collections feed. This is really cool because all the different channels that are attached to this collection are in the feed. So using collections you can really filter your results and see exactly what you want to see.
To modify it mouse down back and click on Manage Subscriptions. And then you are able to see your collection at the top, click on the gear on the right-hand side. From there you can Add or Remove Channels, if there is a new channel you want to add to it, don’t forget to Save. Or, using the button on the left-hand side, you can actually Delete the collection.
