How to Find Your YouTube Inbox – YouTube Messages

It seems like YouTube likes to keep us hopping when it comes to all the changes that are taking place with them. They are making layout changes every few months and sometimes it can get a bit frustrating. But did you know that YouTube is actually going to phase out the old Inbox and put in a new YouTube messaging system? Yes… really! And it looks like it is going to be pretty cool.

Once you click on your icon for Creator Studio, click on it and open up your Dashboard. On the left-hand side you will see the Community tab there. In there is a section called Messages. Click on it and now you are in your Inbox‒ which will be disappearing in a few days.

This will give YouTube’s interface a cleaner look. To me this is a good move because if someone types in a certain word, you can basically filter it out. You can also set it up so when somebody’s using certain words, you can filter them as well. And there are filtered messages with a tab for spam… because nobody wants to fall into the spam trap. You will also see the Sent Messages tab, so any messages you send out and any replies back will show up here.

Sometimes it does get frustrating to have changes made especially when you are just getting the hang of it. But I believe that these new layout changes from YouTube will be helping you, not hindering you.
