I have worked on a ton of different video projects that reside on YouTube. But most of the time, people don’t know that I have actually worked on the project because there is not a good way to give credit for them besides adding a few things into the description.

This is all changing because YouTube just made it possible to easily add video credits on YouTube videos for actors, cinematographers, editors, collaborators, directors, writers, and so much more. And they can get the credit that they deserve on bigger projects what several people are working on, even if they are behind the scenes to make the video really great.

Here is a way to activate Creator Credits on YouTube:

First, mouse up to the upper right-hand side and click on the avatar icon. Mouse down to Creator Studio where this will launch your dashboard. Go to the left-hand side and click on Video Manager. Select a video that you want to add credits to. Click the Edit button. Under your video, you can see the Video Credits with all kinds of options. Choose actor, cinematographer, collaborators, directors, editor, executive producer, and so on.

Recently, I did a video collaboration with Tim Schmoyer for his video creators tv channel (videocreatorstvchannel). I added the channel name, listed the actors, writers who wrote the content, and then clicked the Save Changes button. This will actually do a couple of things here. First, it will notify all those that I listed in the credits. You will also be sent a notification that this was done.

Now, go to the left-hand side and open up Community. In there should be a new section that actually opens up to Credits also on the left-hand side. Click on that and you can now see all the different credits that are for that specific video. This now shows you all of the different credits for that specific video. Once you go to the video itself, you will have to click on the Show More Description button to see the credits that you applied.

And there you have it! Creator Credits that you can add to any YouTube video. But remember, just like anything else, YouTube is working to perfect this new feature, so it might still need a little work and adjustment before it is perfect.
