Are you getting ready to setup and schedule a live event on YouTube? With just a few clicks you can live stream your content across the world. Launching a Hangouts On Air directly from your YouTube Live Events manager is really convenient by giving you a way to engage your fans and invite other people to collaborate with you which will grow your channel.
- To schedule your Live Events on YouTube, mouse up to the top of the page and click on the gear. Come down and click on Video Manager. Check and see if your channel is enabled to do live events and see if you have a green button that gives you the go-ahead.
- Go back to Video Manager and click on live events. Once you’re on that page click the link “Schedule Your First Event”
- Add a title, date, and times that you want to start and end.
- Add a description, tags, and decide whether you are private or public
- If you set it as private you can add names of individuals, email addresses, and Google+ Circles
- Select your category- Hangouts On Air or Custom Mode
- Click on Advanced Settings to add information for promotions through InVideo when the event is live so people are notified when it is happening
- Once the event had ended, you can make the video private
- Choose if you want to monetize the video
Once the Live Event is created, you can make your scheduled event private if you are doing it as an unlisted one, so nobody is seeing it even though it is scheduled. Doing it this way will make this a Live Streaming Event across the board so it is going to launch and do the specific Live Event via Hangouts On Air.
