Now to utilize the invideo programming option on YouTube. You first need to login, once you’re logged in click on the video manager button in the upper right-hand corner. Then click on channel settings, to use this technique the account must be in good standing with YouTube, if not this tip will not work for you. Once in channel settings at the top it should show if that account is in good standing or not.

If the account is in good standing click on InVideo Programming button to the left. Now there are a few things that can be done. The first thing is to feature a channel across all the channel’s videos, now there are some limitations for this, for example, once this is done it goes across all videos on that channel. I assume eventually YouTube is going to give a little bit more flexibility to really bring this in and individualize the branding across channels. Ok, go ahead and click the feature channel button. Then choose where the avatar will show up in the video, and choose when it will display in the video by choosing a display time, then click save.

To change the channel avatar just click on the custom button and upload a custom image. All it needs to be is 800px by 800px and the format, so it needs to be JPG, GIF, BMP or PNG and make sure that the file size does not exceed 1MB.

Now another thing to do is feature a video. This is a great tip to get more video views. This is important for anyone who wants to get more video views and branding across the board. So, click the feature video button, choose which video to feature—remember this video will be featured on all the videos in this channel, then choose where and when it should show up in the videos, then click save. To change the featured video hit the remove button and then select a new one, and hit save again.

Now once it’s saved the cool thing about it is this featured video is going to be across all that channel’s videos. And the great thing about that is if it’s done right you’ll get more views for that specific video, and more subscribers. I think InVideo Programming is going to expand in the next little bit so you can individualize and adjust the size of that featured video and a few other things, and we’ll stay tuned to see what happens.
