YouTube Update: Suggested Tags

YouTube is always changing, and they’ve done it again with Tags.

YouTube used to have a suggested tag feature, but now this feature is gone. YouTube says their algorithm has improved enough to make use of a video’s title and description. So creators can still use the tag feature, but YouTube is just no longer suggesting tags. The tag is still important for rank and discoverability, especially using Tag words that aren’t used in your title or description. So as far as I can tell in the new research that I’ve done on tags, they have the same relevance for YouTube ranking and making your videos more visible, so just make sure you’re using strategic Tag words.
