A lot of you may have recently noticed a big drop in your subscriber count on your YouTube channel. Are you trying to figure out what is going on? Are you wondering why YouTube is deleting subscribers? Well I know a few of you are probably concerned out about this and want answers.

There have been some recent changes to YouTube that will affect the subscriber count on your YouTube channel. Some of you may be as obsessive as I am when checking your subscriber totals on a daily basis‒ and to tell you the truth, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this! So, why the drop in subs on your YouTube channel?

It’s all about cleaning house actually! YouTube has announced that they have just added a new automated feature to clean up the subscribers count on your YouTube channel. They want the numbers to stay meaningful and accurate for advertisers. This means, better advertisers… more money.

YouTube is in the process of removing all suspended accounts across all YouTube channels. This might make a lot of you angry because your sub totals might dip a little, but for me, it’s all about viewer and watch time.

If these accounts are actually suspended, it’s because they are not watching any of your videos in the first place. You want to have viewers who are active. And if they are not commenting or engaging on your video content, you don’t want empty numbers hanging around‒ making this a good thing because it is much better to have more accurate numbers.

Why YouTube Is Deleting Subscribers. On June 16th,YouTube will remove suspended accounts from all channels’ subscriber counts. What this means is there may be a minor drop in your subscribers, but not from your active viewers‒ and it won’t cause any problems with your views or watch time.
