FREE – Royalty Free Sound Effects for Your YouTube Videos

If you’ve wondered how to add a little flare to your YouTube videos by adding some great sound effects, you’re not alone. Sound effects can add that little ambience to your video and make a huge difference in how engaging it can be. And since a lot of my subscribers are asking questions about how to find good sound effects, this is where to find out.

Finding royalty free sound effects to download and use right on your YouTube video‒ or any other project that you might have‒ is easy to do. First, sign into to your YouTube channel. Go ahead and mouse up to the upper right-hand corner and click on the Avatar icon. Go to Creator Studio. This will launch your dashboard for you. Now, go to the left-hand side and look for a tab called Create. This is where all the royalty free music and sound effects are found. After listening to the sound effects, remember to click on the link for more information about the terms and conditions.

On the right-hand corner to the Search button; this is where you can search for sound effects. There are lots of different sounds effects to use and all you have to do is type in a specific key work and click return. This will set up a search based on your key words. You can also search by Category. This is a great option because you can filter specifically what you want to look for.

For example, if you’re looking for science fiction sound effects, just enter those key words into your search and play the tracks until you find the one that is your favorite. Now you can hit the Download button if this is the one you want to save for your video or project.

One last tip: If you find a handful of sound effects that you want to keep, you can click the Favorites tab and this will give you the ability to manage all of this in one place. All of your best music is saved for your next project and you don’t have to go hunting for it ever again.

Remember, sound effects are the unsung heroes that can help any content creator tell their story more effectively… so be creative. If you haven’t ever used sound effects before, this is really a great way to spice up your YouTube videos while giving your viewers more time to stay engaged.
